These lands, on the border between Campania and Molise, are part of the Matese National Park and “Le Mortine” natural reserve, nestling in the valley of the Upper Volturno Valley, which serves as a buffer between the Abruzzo National Park and the Matese National Park. Every place has its own culinary excellences that shape its agri-food heritage; here buffalo mozzarella was born.
